Judy Mitchell

I am an experienced person-centred therapist using integrative skills including solution focused and existential models, when required. I work with children from 6 years old, adolescents and adults with mild to moderate issues.

I can help you with a variety of issues such as, but not exhaustive: depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, anger and bereavement. My training in Humanistic Counselling enables me to work empathically and unconditionally, empowering people to grow emotionally towards their ideal self, allowing self-actualisation to take place, enabling people to reach their ideal potential.

We can all need emotional support at times with events such as life changes, trauma and past events. These can impede our coping skills. As a Counsellor I can offer a safe, non-judgemental environment for individuals to explore their feelings, behaviours and emotions and be able to move forward and regain a sense of self-empowerment.

Supervisor Profile

I am a qualified Counselling Supervisor, having a Certificate in Clinical Supervision, providing professional support for Counsellors. This uses the 7 eyed model of supervision which provides a safe environment to bring your personal and professional work to explore, along with support for your professional development. I work in person, online, face to face and via the telephone. I can offer a supportive space for counsellors trained in humanistic, person-centred and solution focused models. I can also work with student counsellors.

It is important to me that the supervisee and supervisor relationship is a valued safe space to explore your counselling journey.

I have been working as a qualified as a Counsellor in BA (Hons) Humanistic Counselling for the past 10 years, working with all ages from 6 years old. I have built up a strong private practice and also for schools and employment assisted programmes.

You will be required to have checked with your own governing body as to the limits of your supervision responsibilities before we can proceed.

I am happy to talk to you initially by telephone as a free introductory offer where your supervision needs can be considered.

Future face to face sessions could be offered for people in the Grantham, Lincolnshire area, as well as working on-line.

My prices are: £60:00 for 60 minutes, £75:00 for 90 minutes.

Student prices on enquiry and block booking packages considered.
